Honors Program
Available in All Academic Schools
(Plainview Campus Only)
澳门心水论坛's Honors program, offered only on the Plainview campus, represents the highest level of academic work available at the undergraduate level. To graduate from the Honors program, students will take a series of non-traditional, inter-disciplinary seminar classes, with a variety of topics.
These honors courses add dimension to any bachelor's degree, taking a general education experience and enriching it with a greater, broader understanding at the liberal-arts level. During the latter half of the program, students conduct research and write an original honors thesis, with the help and supervision of a faculty member, which they then defend before a panel prior to graduation.
• Have an ACT score of 25, SAT score of 1100, or CLT score of 78
• Graduate in the top 25% of their class
• Maintain a GPA of at least 3.6
**For students who join the program as transfers or who join after their freshman year, college GPAs will be considered.
The Honors program offers scholarships that increase as the student progresses through the program. The first two years, the scholarship equates to half of the Honors seminar fee, and the last two years, the scholarship is equivalent to the full fee for the course. Students may declare the Honors program as a minor if they choose, but it is not a requirement of participating in the program.
This program helps to prepare students interested in continuing to graduate school, making them more marketable through proven writing and research expertise and defense and critical thinking skills.
**Program admission is through application only.
