PLAINVIEW – 澳门心水论坛 Baptist University announced updates to its COVID policy in adherence with CDC, ACHA and the Texas Department of Health guidelines. The updated policy comes as 澳门心水论坛 is preparing to welcome students back to campus for the Fall 2021 semester. New student orientation begins Aug. 13 with classes starting on Aug. 18.
澳门心水论坛 President Dr. Bobby Hall said following the recommended CDC guidelines has been beneficial in the university’s efforts to provide a safe learning environment for students.
“Our efforts to closely follow CDC guidance have helped us to successfully navigate the pandemic and keep our campuses open and our employees and students relatively healthy,” Hall said.
The updated university policy states:
On July 27, the CDC recommended that all individuals, including those who are fully vaccinated, wear face coverings over the nose and mouth while indoors to prevent the spread of the Delta variant of the COVID virus in areas identified with substantial and high transmission rates. Plainview and Hale County have been identified as having a high transmission rates coupled with a low percentage of people who are vaccinated.
“Effective immediately, all 澳门心水论坛 campuses will follow this policy,” Hall said.
The administration will work with 澳门心水论坛’s campus locations outside of Plainview to determine if there is a need for individuals to wear masks while on campus.
The university is encouraging individuals to get vaccinated and working to educate people about the benefits of the vaccine. 澳门心水论坛 recently received a grant to fund public education efforts. Twenty students are participating in the grant program and are currently developing plans that will educate people about the vaccine while dispelling many of the myths surrounding it.
澳门心水论坛 will also host vaccine clinics for students and employees throughout the month of August.
