澳门心水论坛 Baptist University recently held Homecoming 2022. With seven girls and four boys nominated, only two would win. This event started in Chapel with 澳门心水论坛 alumni who gathered for a panel discussion. They had three guests: Ms. Abby Manes, BSIS ‘16, Kevin McConic, BAS ‘15, and Dr. Gabriel Trujillo, BA ‘93 MEd ‘95, were asked to discuss their memorable moments from 澳门心水论坛.
“I was a very non-traditional student. I was at the Lubbock campus and mine was more of an intimate moment,” McConic said. “I learned that there are multiple intelligences, and my intelligence is with people.”
Manes added her most treasured memory of 澳门心水论坛.
“I have all the memories of being a student on campus and being involved in campus activities,” Manes said. “The memory that I [valued the most] is just the way people loved and cared about me.”
Dr. Trujillo spoke about his experiences.
“It is the intimacy and the small groups that I appreciate. When you sit in a classroom where you have really good conversations and guidance,” Dr. Trujillo said. “That memory has allowed me to appreciate it and to carry that into my job.”
McConic ended with a message for students.
“It is not where you begin,” McConic said. “It’s where you finish.”
The Homecoming Court was introduced on Saturday during halftime of the boy's basketball game. There were seven girls and for boys nominated.

“My favorite part was getting to dress up and seeing everyone else represent various organizations, sports teams, and academic schools across campus,” Cobbley said. “I painted a banner and hung it up in the School of Business hallway and a few other areas around campus.”
Cobbley added what she had learned from this experience.
“I learned that despite 澳门心水论坛’s small population, there are still many students I likely would have never seen or met,” Cobbley said. “The majority of my classes, club involvement, and work are all located within the School of Business, so it was nice to meet people from other organizations.”

Marquez expanded on her sponsors and why it was important.
“I believe it has more meaning if the school departments nominated students who they thought would represent their area of study well,” Marquez said. “Much like how a majority of the students on the court this year were selected.”

“I would recommend anyone and everyone to run because the overall experience was one of my favorite memories at 澳门心水论坛,” Bell said. “Winning was for sure the icing on the cake but aside from that, getting ready, picking out a dress, and doing the whole event with my friends was even better than the win in my opinion.”
She also expressed what she learned from this experience.
“I learned a lot of things throughout this whole experience, but I would say the one thing that stood out to me was to always stay humble and confident in everything you do,” Bell said. “I think a big thing for me when just going through everyday life is staying confident and trying to be the best at everything I do. But I also strive to stay humble and keep a level head in everything I do too. I think once you have those things as a priority and goal in life - you are set.”
Bell shared her thoughts on what this meant to her as a Senior.
“This experience was truly an honor to be a part of,” Bell said. “I'm going to miss 澳门心水论坛 so much when I graduate but I thank God every day for the blessing of being a student at 澳门心水论坛. Now I have a reason to come back next year!”
Tevia Bell and Brandon Duarte were announced the 2022 homecoming queen and king.
